Ataija Mix

BACKGROUND

The Ataija Mix is a limestone that presents a mixed color of beige and grey. This is essentially a variation of the well-known Ataija Beige, but with partial areas from the quarry where it blends with grey color. This is a very hard limestone that presents occasional darker veins, with some slight color tone variation.

The Ataija is one of the hardest limestones available in Portugal, being very suitable for exterior paving and landscaping applications.

Compression strength: 1650 kg/cm2; Flexural strength: 105 kg/cm2; Porosity: 0.9%

RECOMMENDED USE

The Ataija Mix is mostly used on small sized and exterior paving applications with considerable thickness. Due to its hardness and small sized blocks, this limestone has been an ideal choice for street and exterior pavers, as well as diverse landscaping use. It can also be found on flooring, coverings and some stonework.
